What is Portfolio Art?

Portfolio Art is a permission-only course offered to St. Joseph students who demonstrate proficiency in General and Advanced Art classes. The course is designed for students who wish to pursue the study of art, with a concentration on oil painting, at a level normally not possible within the context of a typical high school art curriculum. Alumni of the St. Joseph art program have continued their studies at institutions such as Pratt, Yale, Columbus College of Art & Design, Marshall University, Centre College of Kentucky, Shepherd University, Berea, West Virginia University, and elsewhere. Portfolio Art class is essential for students preparing to further their education in visual art at the college level and beyond.
